Highway 95 Land Withdrawal LEIS

Welcome

This website is YPG’s online center for public information and involvement in the Highway 95 land withdrawal Legislative Environmental Impact Statement (LEIS). The purpose of this site is to provide information about the Army’s requested withdrawal and reservation for military purposes of approximately 22,000 acres of public land managed by the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

Importance of Public Participation in the LEIS

The LEIS process consists of several steps intended to encourage public input to inform the decision-making process. Information gathered during the LEIS process will help facilitate an understanding of the public’s perceptions, refine the project – including potential alternatives, and inform the analysis of environmental impacts. This website provides information about the process, updates about the project, and ways in which the public can participate in the LEIS process. The Army values the public’s ideas and comments about this project and encourages stakeholders to check back often for updates.
